Instructor
Candidate Program Components
1.
Introduction Phase:
First we would like the candidate to let us know that
he/she is interested in becoming an instructor. Contact
us by phone and mail. We would like to know the candidates
background, age, plans regarding teaching, etc.
2. Pre-training Phase:
Before coming to the instructor course we would like
the candidate to come and train with us, either in seminars
or at one of the official training centers and clubs.
This part is important because it allows us to get to
know the candidate, to evaluate if martial arts skills
are good enough to participate in the program, and to
show you some of our ways of training.
For the candidate this might be the first introduction
to real Krav Maga and it is important for him/her to
try it before signing up for a long and expencive education.
It will also give the candiate some material to work
on before the instructor course.
3. Aplication for Instructor Course participation.
If the candiadate would like to go through the educational
prossess he/she will now be asked to apply for participation
in the instructor course.
4. Instructor Course.
The instructor course is held usually once every year
somewhere in Scandinavia.
It is an intensive 4 week (180 hours) course. There
is 2 weeks of training (full days) followed by 4 weeks
of rest and the final 2 weeks of training (and final
tests). For assistant instructors the first 2 weeks
are mandatory.
The course is combined of theory,
practical training and instructor training. In the end
of the course there are several tests, both theoretical
and practical. You will need to pass all the test to
earn your instructor license. Failing any tests will
give you a course participation diploma and you can
come back later in courses or instructor trainings and
try for the license.
5. Instructor Training Seminars.
After becomming a certified instructor you are invited
to participate in special instructor
training seminars ONLY for instructors in the federation.
Such seminars are held several times a year in different
locations. Participation in seminars will provide the
instructor with high quality training to highten his/hers
knowledge in Krav Maga and to renew the instructor license. For
